Summary of Production
This play was a surreal adaptation of the Edgar Allen Poe story The Tell Tale Heart. The production's design goal was to create an uncomfortable atmosphere. We did this through the use of moving sub-drones and low-level subconscious high frequencies to create a sense weight in the air.
Kent State awarded this production with the Outstanding Sound Design Award (APO).

1. This is a representative piece for this production. We used distortion, 80's inspired music, and ambient soundscapes to try and achieve a level of controlled emotion in the audience.
2. This heart beat was created to be heard through out the play. It uses extremely low tones to be felt over heard.
3. This ambient sound scape was played when the the main character started to hear the "deathwatches in the wall." This is a type of beetle. It also includes creaking.
