The script is split into two halves; one half of which is in a typical script format and the other half is running a constant monologue of commercials that underscores the show. For this production, we decided to have the commercial monologue half of the script performed live. To aid in this, I created a custom Ableton-based vocal effect processing setup. The "Feed" actors were hidden behind a drum shield where they affected their voices: pitch bending, delay/reverb effects, chorus effects, and DJ-style sound effects. We then sent them out of the audio interface and into the house CL5 and then the A1 mixed them throughout the show.
